Compartmentation Surveys

Certified Compartmentation Solutions

At Essex Fire Protection Services, we carry out comprehensive compartmentation surveys to assess how effectively fire and smoke are contained within a building. Our surveys are designed to identify breaches in fire-resisting construction, helping to protect escape routes, maintain structural integrity, and support compliance with UK fire safety legislation, including the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, Building Regulations Approved Document B, and recognised standards such as BS 476 and BS EN 1366.

Compartmentation surveys are a key part of our passive fire protection services. We conduct detailed inspections of fire compartments, walls, floors, ceilings, and service penetrations including pipework, cabling, and ductwork to identify any gaps, defects, or non-compliant installations.

Traceability & Documentation

Every installation is recorded using Onetrace, providing clients with photographic evidence, product data, and precise location logs for audit-ready traceability essential for the meeting the ‘golden thread’ legal requirements of the Building Safety Act 2022.
